REPRODUCTION of historic papers.
We will work from photographs, complete sections or fragments of historic papers, and
can avail of a wide range of techniques and materials when it comes to reproducing the
paper, including screen printing, block printing, flocking and embossing. If required, we
can source appropriate hand-made paper stock and pigments for reproducing eighteenth-
century papers.

The use of distemper paint for
the ground colour and print
colours upto the 20th century
produced a wonderful matt
finish that cannot be trully
replicated by modern acrylic
paints. Distemper by its nature is
soft and lacks durability. We can
offer a finish very close in
character to distemper yet with a
much improved durability using
our own unique formula.
