Coolattin Oak Trellis
Circa 1850. A mid-nineteenth century trellis of oak leaves and acorns, named after the once-renowned oak woods at Coolattin, County Wicklow. Since medieval times, Coolattin Oak was internationally famed for its very high quality, and was used in buildings all over Europe including Westminster Abbey, King’s College Cambridge and the Houses of Parliament in London.
