Frequently Asked Questions

Please be sure to read the following information before making a purchase or getting in touch, as many potential questions can be answered below.

  • Please place your order by e-mail to skinnerdav@gmail.com. I will reply to let you know the expected delivery date and shipping charge. If you wish to go ahead with the order I will then issue an invoice. You may pay the invoice in full at this stage, or 50% of the total, with the balance payable when I notify you that the order is ready to be sent. Please pay using bank transfer or Paypal, I do not accept card payments.

  • All wallpapers (hand-printed and digital) shown on this website are printed to order; I do not hold room quantities in stock. Please allow 4-8 weeks to receive your order. This may be longer for large orders or in busy periods. I will give the expected delivery date when you confirm your order by e-mail.

  • The minimum you can order of any pattern is 6 rolls. (This does not apply to borders or to Malahide Border sheets.)

  • Custom colours for hand-printed papers

All my hand-printed and digitally printed patterns may be custom-coloured to your specification.

Please read the guidelines for custom colouring in the “Studio” section of this website

  • I try to maintain a complete stock of samples of all patterns and colours, but there may be times when I do not have the sample you require.

Small samples (A4, Euro 2.50) or large samples (53 cm x 53 cm approximately, Euro 25.00) of any of the patterns and colourways are shown on the patterns page can be ordered by emailing skinnerdav@gmail.com, and will be posted within 2-3 days.

  • Hand-printed quality

I recommend that you request a sample of wallpaper before making a purchase, in order to fully appreciate the colour and surface characteristics - I want you to be sure of what you are purchasing!

Your hand-printed wallpaper will be made in a unique batch, using a number of processes that rely on the skill and experience of the printer. Colours are mixed and matched by eye and the paper is positioned by hand for each printed repeat. In contrast to machine or digitally-printed papers, a very slight degree of variation in the accuracy of the repeats is possible – this is typical of hand-printed papers everywhere. For similar reasons, the colours of your wallpaper may differ fractionally from the sample you approved.

  • Yes we do.

  • For orders sent outside the EU (e.g. United Kingdom, U.S.A.) the 0% rate of VAT (sales tax) will be applied to the invoice. (Prices less tax are shown on the patterns page.)

Sales tax at your local rate will usually be applied at the point of entry, and this may be collected from you by the delivery company before delivery is completed.

Orders sent to other EU countries are charged at 0% VAT only if the recipient can supply me with their registered VAT number in that country. If you are not registered, VAT will be charged on your invoice at the Irish rate of 23%

  • I can supply fire-rating certification for our digitally-printed wallpapers, but not for my hand-printed wallpapers. However, all the materials used (base paper and paints) have been tested and certified by the relevant manufacturers, and I believe that my hand-printed wallpapers meet fire safety standards. If you have specific questions in this regard, please contact me.Item description

  • I am sure that you will be really pleased with your wallpaper, but in the event that you are not, please get in touch and let me know of the problem. Unfortunately I am unable to offer returns or refund on our wallpaper, because it is all printed to order. I can only offer returns if the paper is faulty.

Please inspect your wallpaper order as soon as it arrives, and before passing it on to a third party (such as a paperhanger). If a fault is found later or after the paper is installed, I will be unable to make an exchange. If there is an issue please contact me immediately and we will discuss an exchange. I may need to inspect the paper to determine the problem and how to proceed.
